Morgins

Winter

Morgins has a lot to offer to parents and children, skiers and non-skiers alike.

Two Ski-schools

In Morgins there are two ski-schools to choose from. The traditional Swiss Ski & Snowboard School under the direction of World Cup Slalom racer, Martial Donnet. And the new Morgins Ski and Snowboard School. Both schools have instructors that know the area inside out.

Beginners Snow Area

Kids and adult beginners alike will benefit from the ideal slopes and safe environment provided by the “ Snow Area”. The area has a beginners slope “The Jardin des Neiges”. And two intermediate lifts “The Snowli” and “The Géant”.

The Baby-Club

The "Baby-Club" daycare is located in the Sports Center, adjacent to the Snow Area. This Center also provides a nice place from where parents and grandparents can watch their children become skiers.

Ice ring

Don’t forget to bring your skates (or rent some at the local shop), because Morgins has a  floodlighted ice rink where the young and not so young like to meet up in the afternoon to play a game of hockey, or go ice-karting.

Night skiing

Every Wednesday and Saturday the long piste of “the foilleuse” is floodlighted for night skiing until 21.30 hrs.

Snow-shoe walking

There are 13 snowshoe trails around Morgins with a total length of 64 km

Snow go-karts

In winter the local go-kart track is covered in snow and this makes for a fun afternoon of snow-karting.

Snow soccer

The village organizes snow soccer games on the outdoor tennis courts at the Sports Center. Here locals and tourists meet for a sporty showdown.

Ski safaris

For the more experienced skiers, ski safaris, lasting several days, can be organized. They will take  you through the rough of the whole portes du soleil area.

Cross-country skiing

Cross-country skiers will find 20 km of track close to Morgins, including the popular high-altitude track round the Lac de Morgins.

Horse riding center

Morgins has its own riding school where you can rent ponies and horses or arrange for horse-drawn sledge rides.  Even dog-sleigh rides are amongst the possibilities.

Para-gliding

Go around the "Portes du Soleil" in a two-seater para-glider, wearing skis or snowboard, accompanied by an experienced pilot and guide. Make arrangements at one of the ski-schools.
